Your no return policy on electronics is completely insane. Any other thrift store (besides Savers) test their electronics before they put them on the shelf. But Savers takes any and all electronics and appliances that people drop off and just puts it on their shelves without plugging it in and testing it. And some poor soul comes into your store and buys said products and take them home, only for them not to work so you want to bring it back to the store right? No not at Savers . Are you freaking kidding me? How is it the customers fault that you took someone's junk in without even turning it on and just place it on your shelf and ask an ungodly amount for something you got free and then tell the customer your wonderful no return policy. What a way to screw people over that are already hurting for money otherwise they wouldn't be shopping in a thrift store. But you can hire a security guard? For a thrift store? Come on now if they are in there stealing than they obviously need it. Why not, you get everything for free. But once again want to charge an ungodly amount for items you get delivered to you. $18 for a used pair of jeans? You can go to Walmart and buy new ones for that. You guys are a scam and need your doors closed. Cause you aren't helping anyone but your own pockets.
I’ve been shopping there for years always enjoyed it until recently. The prices have suddenly gone way up their pricing things above what they would have been new! It looks like management should come in and see the crazy pricing there putting on items such as a drinking glass obviously from a restaurant nothing fancy for $3.50. You’ve got to be kidding me..
I shop here frequently, but it wasn’t until my last visit that the Rent-a-Cop at the front stopped me upon entering, and told me he needed to lock my backpack in the cabinet.
He didn’t approach me in a manner that was even remotely polite and took his job too seriously. He was also nowhere to be found when I paid for my items and wanted my bag back.
Trust me when I say that I understand theft is a problem for this store, I’ve seen people straight run out with handfuls of things.
Yet, items are donated constantly and what doesn’t sell gets “recycled” anyway.
The types of people who I’ve seen stealing are very much people in need.
For being a store that prides itself on being so charitable, maybe you can start with pricing things affordably so that more people can have access to things and not resort to theft? Just a thought.
Been coming to this savers for years. Prices have skyrocketed for absolutely no reason other than greed. Savers is not a charity nor a nonprofit. The workers haven’t seen a raise whatsoever but the prices for freely donated goods has gone up and up and up. Total grift store.
Purchased clothes for my girlfriend who couldn’t be there at the time of purchase.
I asked the checkout lady what the return policy was and she told me “you have 14 days from the date of purchase.”
The clothes didn’t my girlfriend. I returned the following day and asked for my money back. The same exact employee who checked me out the day before and told me I had 14 days, said I was unable to return them and they had to be exchanged for other items.
I then asked if I could have store credit since I would be traveling during the 14 day window. I was told there is no store credit.
I also spoke to a manager about this issue. Both employees were super apathetic and could not have cared less.
This is a greedy policy and there is no legitimate reason I can’t be offered store credit that expired longer than 14 days.
I love thrift shopping but this Savers is dirty and the building has alot of issues when it rains. Half the women's section was closed off because of water coming in while it rained.
No dressing rooms... but if something doesn't fit, no refund. I was just there yesterday, went home and tried everything. One thing was too small and it was expensive ($20) by their standards. I went to return it today, but the worker insisted that I would need to shop and find something else. He also said I only have 14 days to do so.
Your policies suck!!! No return on something you took into your store without testing before placing it on your shelves. You obviously have enough money to hire employees since you can afford a security guard?FOR A THRIFT STORE??? You got to be kidding me??
